Mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other. Self-care is not selfish. In order for you to be caring towards others, you need to be fully caring towards yourselves first.  When you take good care of yourself physically, emotionally and mentally, everything else will feel right, you will feel refreshed and develop positive self-esteem. It will boost your ability to cope with any adversities and you also grow as a person.
